HackBeat Copenhagen is a 3 nights workshop about hacking music, playing and prototyping and creating something new.
The main focus is on innovation and disrupting current music technology trends. The workshop is 100% user driven, and the outcome could be technical prototypes, online services, new instruments or products related to music, a live performance or anything the participants come up with.
3 areas of ideas
We have defined three primary areas to get ideas started:
- Listening to music and the discovery of music.
- Creation of sounds, instruments and supporting technology
- Music performance and reproduction
At the first event, January 5, we meet and pitch ideas. We form groups around the ideas we like And then we start hacking. We follow up with two more nights of hacking, January 26 and February 16, where we have a final show off.
We are inviting developers/hackers/builders, creatives/designers/ideas people, and performing artists/musicians/producers to join.
Participation includes all three nights, and the ticket includes food and drinks.
